See Avery

Good morning, Everyone!

It has been a long, wet week, and it doesn’t look like it will be any better this weekend. Ugh! I hope you all are staying warm and dry.

Looks like last weekend was the last good time for photo session opportunities (without an umbrella). I had the chance to spend some quality time with my niece, Avery, and get part of her senior photo session. Avery is graduating from Rogers High School (my Alma mater), which makes it even more fun for me.

Avery wanted to go somewhere “urban”, so my go-to urban site is downtown Tacoma. We spent some time exploring new sites so she could have a unique look to her portfolio. Found it! Avery is a fun and vibrant young lady who is going places. A rock star on the basketball court (more to come at her sport session next spring). We had a great morning! Can’t wait for her to see just how beautiful she it.

Congratulations, Aves! You make me proud!

Thanks Joel!!

What a great day! This past Friday, I got to spend some quality time with my friend, Joel. I have known Joel for many years and I can hardly believe that he is a senior! Crazy, right? Well, Joel and his mom asked me to commemorate Joel’s senior year with a photo session. It was awesome! After a dumping of rain the night before, I woke up to blue sky, perfect for the downtown Tacoma morning rush. Joel met me at my favorite Starbucks, and off we went. He’s a great sport, and easy to work with:) Thanks Joel!! We spent about an hour walking around the Museum of Glass area, looking for some good places to shoot. Here is what we found. Enjoy:)!!

Elissa the Great!

Every so often I get the opportunity to take photos for my family. This weekend, Elissa (my niece) and I spent the morning together commemorating her senior year with a fun photo session. Elissa was most interested in an urban setting, so of course, I took her to the downtown area of Tacoma. Elissa is an amazing dancer and wanted to get a few photos with her toe shoes. I think we managed to get some great ones, and of course, all of my niece’s photos were spectacular 🙂

Thanks, Elisa, for asking me to celebrate this year with you. It was a pleasure and an honor and I love you:)!!

Lauren and Kaitlyn’s Senior Session

It’s Senior Photo time again! Congratulations to all of the soon to be 2018 high school graduates! Our calendar is filling up and my computer is working overtime, but that’s how I like it!!:) Woohoo seniors!! Love ’em!

Last week Kaitlyn and Lauren met me at the Pagoda on the Tacoma waterfront. This is one of my favorite spots senior photos. There are so many different backdrops offering such a great variety. These lovely ladies were awesome! They were naturals at posing, allowing me more time to shoot. Thanks, you guys!

It was a gorgeous day with clear skies (unusual this summer with the smoke that’s been lingering). I had a blast! And have been editing through the week. Here are a few of my favorites. It was hard to choose from so many great pics.

Congratulations Kaitlyn and Lauren. This will be an amazing senior year for you both! Enjoy everything RHS has for you this year. Here’s to your next great phase in life!

Jill and Brenden – A Wedding

Happy Labor Day Weekend everyone! Hope you are all home safe and sound on this Friday night.

Chris and I had the great pleasure of shooting a wedding last weekend. Jillian and Brenden were married in Steilacoom, WA in front of the beautiful Puget Sound on an old time bandstand with their family and friends all watching with joy in their eyes.

Jill tried very hard to stay out of sight of her soon to be husband, and was successful!! Woohoo!! This was not an easy task. Brenden’s first look at Jill was as she was being escorted by her father down the grassy isle. His smile was golden. She was breathtaking. It was a great event, one we will not soon forget.

I hope you enjoy some of the photo selections I chose for their blog. Congratulations, you guys! I hope Chicago treats you well:)

Jillian and Brenden

Merry Christmas to you all! What a wonderful and joyous time to celebrate the birth of our Savior.

Recently, I had the privilege of photographing Jillian and Brenden. These two will be getting married this upcoming summer and have asked Chris and myself to be their photographers. We are honored! And can hardly wait for August to get here:)

Here are a few of my favorite photos from their engagement session at the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge. We took advantage of one of the few dry (but cold) December days. There are a few pics with an extra little cutie (my favs).  Enjoy:)

Fall Family Photos

Happy fall, everyone! We are well into our pre-Christmas prep; shopping, baking (my favorite) and photo sessions for the family Christmas cards.

Last Saturday, we had a beautiful break in our typical fall weather, allowing me to meet up with the Vitt family, at Wright Park, for their extended family photo session. Tom and Laurie have a beautiful and fun family. Previously, I had the pleasure of photographing their daughter, Kelli, for her senior session 2 years ago (see Oct 2014 post). I enjoyed Kelli so much, and was excited to have the opportunity to meet and shoot her family, as well. Tom and Laurie are great! Their grown children, Kelli, Dave and Dan, joined in and were able the get their photo for this year’s family Christmas card . Tom’s brother, Mike was in town and able to join in the group. Laurie had her 2 sisters, Julie and Brenda and her father, Mike, as well. It was a big fun happy group! I had a great time and enjoyed meeting you all!!

I hope you enjoy this sneak peek of your session.

Blessings,

A Beautiful Day with Kaitlin

It’s almost graduation time! Parties are being planned, trips booked and our newest graduates are getting ready to enjoy their last “real” summer vacation:)

Last weekend, I had the honor of photographing this beautiful young lady. Meet Kaitlin; soon to be a Fife High School graduate, herself. Kaitlin and I met up at one of my favorite locations, the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge. There are so many photo opportunities here, and we took advantage of many of them. We even ran into some the local wildlife…wild rabbits! So cute! Kaitlin tried hard to quietly walk up to one for a quick pic, but that bunny had different ideas, like getting the heck out of there! Haha, it did make for some good laughs, though.

Kaitlin, I wish you the very best in your life’s journey. I am confident you will find a career path that is perfect for you:) Thank you for your joyful and fun filled spirit. I enjoyed you immensely! Congratulations on being a 2016 Trojans grad!

Blessings,

~Lynette

An Afternoon With Evan

What a terrific week we have had here in the Pac NW! I was blessed to take advantage of one of these beautiful afternoons with Evan, a Puyallup High School senior, whose parents I have know for over 20 years. Thanks, Dave and Shelley, for seeking me out and giving me the opportunity and privilege of photographing your youngest son!

Evan and I met up at one of my favorite spots to shoot a senior session, the downtown Tacoma/waterfront area. He was a great sport! We spent about 2 hours finding the best urban locations and taking advantage of some great lighting opportunities. It was great catching up with Dave and Shelley, too!

Thanks, Evan, for spending your afternoon with me. I thoroughly enjoyed you and our time together. I wish you the best in all of your future endeavors.
