Snowmageddon 2012

We here in Washington State are still recovering from what the broadcast news called “snowmageddon” or the “snowpocalypse.” This was a period of intense snow (22 inches in less than 24 hours in some parts) followed by a long-lasting ice storm. The ice-storm knocked out power for hundreds of thousands of people (we were out for almost 4 days) with some being out for almost a week. A lot of people lost trees in their yard and many in public areas including streets, parks, etc.

While these events were beautiful to behold, it was dangerous to travel outside. While I would have liked to travel around and get some interesting pictures, I thought that I would share a few that we took around the house.

Enjoy.

Chris.
