Spartan Pride

I’d like to introduce you to Nick. Nick is a terrific senior from Sumner High School. He has an obvious love for football and was excited to have his senior portraits done wearing his jersey on the field at Sunset Stadium. This is a great location! It really embodies who Nick is and what he spends his time doing. I hope you enjoy some of Nicks photos.

Thanks for the great session, Nick. I wish you all the best during your senior year:)

Afternoon with Anna

Last weekend was, I think, our last really nice weekend of the year (weather wise). I was blessed to have a terrific senior session with Anna, who chose to meet me at the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge. This has been a popular location this senior season, and for good reason. There are so many great places to photograph at the refuge. The barns are a favorite for my “girls”. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Anna. As you will see, she is a beautiful young lady, with loads of life and personality. She was so much fun, and willing to try all sorts of poses…my favorite type of model:) Thank you, Anna, for such a lovely and enjoyable afternoon. Blessings on your future.

Kelli-A Day in the Park

My latest senior portrait shoot was with this wonderful young woman, Kelli. Kelli and I met at DeCousey Park in Puyallup to document her senior year at Puyallup High School. Kelli is an accomplished musician, playing flute, trumpet and sax. She has plans to attend WSU and study veterinary medicine. Kelli is quite an amazing girl with true beauty radiating around her. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with her. Please enjoy a few of Kelli’s photos that we captured last weekend. Congratulations, Kelli, on your senior year and upcoming graduation. We wish the very best for you in your future endeavors.

Love the Longboard

Last week, I had the great pleasure to photograph Jonny for his senior portraits. I had never met Jonny before that afternoon, but I could tell, the minute I saw him, that he was a guy with charisma. He mentioned that he loved to longboard, so, of course, I had to ask if he had is longboard with him. He said it was in the car. “Wanna get it?” I asked him.  I think I surprised him…pleasantly. The look of joy on his face when he came riding down the path on his board was priceless! I love shooting seniors, especially when they are engaged in something they love. We got a few action shots, just for fun, to round out his session. It was a great shoot!

Jonny and Kate, I had a great time with both of you! Thanks for the entertainment:) And I hope you enjoyed your weekend at the Dave Matthews concert!!

Caitrin’s Senior Photos

It was a beautiful afternoon at Owen Beach at Pt Defiance! A beautiful day for a beautiful young woman to have her senior portraits done. Thanks for the great session, Logan. We wish you much joy and success at Western.

Brett-Class of 2014

I had the great honor to photograph Brett this past weekend. What an awesome guy! We had a great time shooting his senior photos in downtown Tacoma near the Museum of Glass and UW Tacoma. Brett is a terrific athlete (this season on the football field) and so fun loving. As you can see from this small sample from his senior session, Brett is all smiles and spreads joy to all he comes in contact with. I can hardly wait ’til we meet up for the second half of his senior session. I am calling it the “stadium shoot”, where we will be concentrating on all things football. Enjoy these few photos of Brett, and stay tuned for round two!

Congratulations, Brett! We wish you the very best for your senior year and all that life will bring you. You truly are a light in this world.

Lexi Senior Photograph Mini Session

I had the great pleasure to do a few headshots for Lexi yesterday. Lexi and her family want to wait until later this year to have her complete session so she can smile big without braces. These are a few early shots for her to choose from for her yearbook. What a beautiful young lady! Even though it was only a few minutes, I had great time with her and can’t wait until we shoot again!

Congratulations Jill!

It was a beautiful spring day here in the Puget Sound. One of those rare and wonderful mornings when the sun is out, the breeze is soft, and the company…marvelous!

Meet Jill. Jill is a graduating senior at Emerald Ridge High School. We met up early on this beautiful morning, out at the local Starbucks, for coffee and to talk about her senior photo shoot we would be doing. Jill loved the idea of an urban-chic setting for her photo shoot, so we agreed on the Downtown Tacoma waterfront and surrounding areas.  Jill brought her friend, Hannah, to add fun and spunkiness to the day. We spent an hour or so at the Museum of Glass and Marina, getting great shots near some of Dale Chihuly’s beautiful glass sculptures as they were glistening in the morning sun. Next, up to the University of Washington’s Tacoma campus for a few minutes. Our favorite stop was the Alice in Wonderland graffiti mural on Market Street. This colorful art piece was a terrific backdrop for our lovely lady!

It was a glorious day! Thank you, Jill for a wonderful shoot! You are a beautiful young lady with a spirit to match.

I invite you to take a few minutes to enjoy a some of my favorite photos from Jill’s session.

Congratulations Jill! Tell the world who you are!

Mark – Puyallup High School Class of 2012

Wow! What a fun and energetic senior photo shoot I had with mark! For an early spring day, we were blessed with the perfect overcast, but bright weather that photographers long for.  Mark is a great guy who loves music, specifically Rush, as you will surely notice from his choice of rocker T-shirts.  He is a gifted bass player and shows off his beautiful Rickenbacker.  I love photographing teens! They have such an introspective impression of themselves, and all they want to do is express it.  Capturing their youthful, yet sometimes quirky personalities is what I enjoy most.  And with Mark, his cute “smirk” was my favorite expression. Thanks, Mark, fr a great day and your willing attitude.  This is why I love my job:)

Enjoy!
