Shot of the Day 8/16/2013

Ok, so not hearing any objections to the Shot of the Day question I posed a few years back, I decided that I would go ahead and do it. Really not because I love blogging, but more because it gets me into sharing photographs.

So here are my basic rules:

  1. Photograph from any date, any time, any genre;
  2. Will not post full portfolio but limit to 2 or 3 photographs;
  3. Must explain something about the photograph (what it is, how it was taken, why it was taken, etc.)
  4. No other rules (at least at this point).

So here is the first post:

This is of a Hobo Spider that I found on my back porch last week. I had to rush through getting the camera set-up with the macro extension tube as this little guy wanted to run away. So, probably not the best shots in the world, but fun to take nonetheless. One thing that I DO NOT like about it is the shallow depth-of-field, but it is what it is. And besides, look at THOSE EYES! Reminds me of Shelob from “Lord of the Rings.”

Blessings,

Chris.

Shot of the Day?

So I have been doing a little something on my personal Facebook page these last couple of weeks called “Shot of the Day.” It is nothing more than a post of a image of something I shot that weekend. One week it was Mt. Rainier, the next a flower, followed by more flowers, a close-up of a bee, or a picture of the Deception Pass bridge.

The question that I have of you is should I create a post here, in this blog, is should I add a period post of the same name and same topic. My thought is besides posting a new photograph from time-to-time,  I could go through my archives and post some of my favorite photographs from over the years.

What do you think? Should I do it or not? Comment below to let me know your thoughts.

Blessings,

Chris.
