The Palouse – August 2016

Oh my goodness! Has it really been 3 months since I posted anything? I guess it has. Well shame on me.

Well, today I am posting a few pictures I took this last August on a trip to the Palouse in Eastern Washington. Many of you may know the area if you went to Washington State University (my alma matter). I accompanied my friend Jennifer King of Jennifer King Photography Workshops as she led a group of students though on their photographic learning journey.

Some of these shots were taken from Steptoe Butte, others from around the county. No time to visit WSU or get anything within Pullman (one of my favorite small cities). As you can see, the harvest of the wheat was in full-mode. There are a number of photographs here that are more of the “abstract” variety–something that I continue to play with.

I hope that you enjoy.

Blessings,

Chris.

Palouse Photography

Good day, friends.

So this past weekend, I took a little trip to Pullman, WA to see my son and to watch my alma mater’s football team, the Washington State University Cougars, take on nearby rival, the Idaho Vandals. But I digress.

Anyway, along the way and my return home, I made a couple of stops along the way and got some shots. You may recognize some of them along highway 26, the Palouse Falls, and a couple of other locales. I wished I could have spent more time around the region, or perhaps during a time before the harvest, but that gives me something to look forward to next year.

Enjoy,

Chris.
