Hey Y’all. Thanks for tuning in…

Today I would like to introduce you all to Connor. This is Connor’s senior year, and he wanted to document his favorite sport during his senior photo sesh. Who am I to deny??;)

Connor and I met up at the Allen York Skate Park in Bonney Lake just this past Friday. I was really excited to see what he could do…and Connor did not disappoint! He is a thrasher! And showed me all of his tricks. It was awesome!!

Take a look at some of what Connor can do..and take notice of the sweat on his face…He was all-in!!

Thanks, Connor, for giving me a great show! I wish you the best senior year ever!!

Salish to Salish 10K

Last Saturday, I had the unique opportunity to photograph the first annual Salish to Salish 10K in Bellingham. My daughter-in-law, Molly McKenna, organized this amazing event benefiting an awesome non-profit – Skookum Kids.

“Skookum Kids is built around a single big idea: that if we take great care of people, the mission will take care of itself. So we work really hard to make this a delightful place to volunteer and be a foster parent. We believe in health for all, meaning that no person should ever have to sacrifice their own health to serve kids. That’s not to say we don’t work hard (because believe me, we do), but that healthy, happy, well-supported people get more done.”  www.skookumkids.org

With several hundred runners and walkers-time qualified, and a ton of volunteers, this 10K proved to be everything is should have been: a great race, a philanthropic opportunity, and most important, an awareness of a program for foster kids and foster parenting support.

As you will see in the photos, a gorgeous crisp fall day greeted everyone involved. So many helpful volunteers. Many smiles. If you want to help support this event next year, contact Salish Wealth Management, Bellingham-([email protected])

Please enjoy a few of the 500+ pic I captured.

Blessings,

~Lynette

Bahamas – May 2018

Hello again Friends.

Here we are now half-way through the year. Wow-where has time gone?

In May, I joined a group of local divers for the trip of a lifetime in the Bahamas. We headed out on a chartered Blackbeards 65′ Sea Explorer sailboat for a week of sailing, playing pirates, and of course scuba diving. And what would a scuba trip be without me taking along my camera to see what I could get–photo wise that is.

We headed out of Nassau and sailed south into the Exuma Cays Land & Sea Park and hit 16 dives in 5 days. It was a lot of diving, but certainly a lot of fun. While there were a ton of fish and coral life to gaze upon in awe and photograph, diving with the sharks was probably the highlight for me. Nothing that I can think of topped that experience.

Kudos and many happy thank you’s to my dive buddies for making this a wonderful trip and especially to those that spent time with me underwater: Michelle, Glenn, & Kyle.

I hope you enjoy these photographs.

Blessings.

Rogers Senior Night – Girls Basketball

Hi Everyone.

Hope you’re all doing well on this fine Saturday morning.

Our niece, Avery, is a superstar basketball player at Rogers High in Puyallup, WA, and this last Thursday was her last home game. Ever! She is a senior this year and will be graduating this spring.

So like I normally do, I took my camera along and decided to take some photographs, not only of Avery but all some of the other girls. I tried a number of different things creatively to get some unique shots. And I think that I did. I hope you like.

Congrats to you, Avery, on a stellar high school career. And best wishes for much more success in college and beyond.

Blessings,

Chris.

Audrey – A Star in the Making!

Hi Everyone,

I recently had a short opportunity to photograph another one of the rising stars in the Puget Sound youth soccer circles. Her name is Audrey. She is now 1o years old and already is quite the football master players. She dominates wherever she plays and often leads her team to victory.

Thank you to his parents, Steve and Lauri, for introducing us to this fine young lady. I look forward to watching her grow and mature into one of the most dominant players we’ve ever seen.

Blessings,

Chris.

PLU Football 16Oct29

I love shooting football!!!

These images are from a PLU (Pacific Lutheran University) vs. across town rivals UPS (University of Puget Sound) last last month. Fortunately, the weather held out and the sun even peaked out a bit. All in all, it was a very nice day and a great football game.

PLU won by-the-way.

Enjoy.

2016 Half Marathon

Hi Friends,

We happened to swing by the 2016 Fall City Half Marathon last month on a quick trip to Snoqualmie. Not to belabor a point, but the weather was horrible and we didn’t stick around. I happened to capture a few images from the start of the race and the end. Then we went home.

Enjoy.

Chris.

Cat’s Senior Shoot #4-Soccer

This has been a beautiful week for bright sunshine. I love rummaging through my glove compartment to find some much needed sun glasses:). Sun is not always a photographer’s best friend, though. It can be the source of washed out photos with squinty eyed subjects. That being said, Caitrin and I needed to get her soccer portraits out of the way before uniforms had to be turned in, so yesterday was the day. Cat (Caitrin’s field name) did her part by securing the school field and showing up with her uniform, letterman’s jacket, cleats and a ball. I brought all of my needed gear, except for a warm pair of gloves. I’ll make sure to put those in my camera bag for the next cold weather shoot. Here is what Cat and I came up with for some unusual still and action shots. I used the bright sun for some interesting busts and streaks. Thanks for braving the wind chill for me, Caitrin. Congratulations on a season record of 16 goals, 11 assists and the honor of All SPSL 1st team; the best way to end a great high school career!
